THOUGHTS FROM PASTOR DAVE

I was grateful to those of you who braved the icy driveways and sidewalks and made it to worship!
The highpoint of worship for me Sunday was presenting Emma Vaught
with her Certificate of Baptism and her bible from our church.
What a joy it is to have anyone give her life to Christ and do her best to follow in his footsteps.
As I said in my message it is not easy being a follower of Jesus Christ,
but it wasn’t easy for Jesus either!
After worship we had a ceremony dedicating our kitchen to service to God,
and Vera Jackson cut the ribbon to officially open the kitchen.
Randall Brown stated that if you have an idea in which this kitchen may
be used as ministry then just let him know.
After all everything we do is to pay honor and to glorify God not us!

We had a small number of prayer requests this past week and that is a good thing.
Please keep Jill Gilmore in your prayers as she should be released from the
hospital by the time you get the Wel-Spring.
Keep all of those in prayer who we lifted up in our “Prayer Concerns” section
and pray for each one of them because they do need your prayers!

A big thank you to Leroy Barnhill for showing the movie
Courageous and for popping all that popcorn!
The movie has made over $600 for our youth’s mission trip this summer.

Don’t forget that next Saturday the 28th is the Men’s Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m.
Come on out for a great breakfast, some good fellowship and of course the opportunity to pray for anyone.
Also Saturday night at 5:30 p.m. for those of you who are members
of the Pairs and Spares Sunday school class, there will be a night of food, fellowship and games.
Bring a side dish or a dessert and come join us!
Also you are invited to attend the baptism of Jackson Page at 4:00 p.m. next Sunday afternoon.
Come on out and share in the joy of Jackson’s baptism.

Until I see you around town or at another event, I want to wish you a safe, happy, and warm week.
I hope to see many more of you in worship next Sunday!
May God bless each and every one of you. Peace!

Pastor Dave
